Course Details:
This course is designed to bring together the disciplines of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Participants will learn how perform precision-based endodontic procedures as well as being introduced to a new obturation technique that restores the tooth from the inside. The goal is to create "synchronicity" between the preparation and the final fill. Synchronicity in endodontics leads to a conservative restoration of the tooth. Furthermore, time will be dedicated to the question of "Should I save the tooth or extract it and place an implant?" There are indications for both treatment modalities.
Considerable time will be available for hands-on instruction.
During this lecture you will learn how to:
- Visualize and create the "Ideal Access" preparation
- Fully understand "Crown-Down" philosophy
- Appreciate and perform the fully tapered .04 and .06 preparation
- Differentiate between Constant and Variable Taper Systems
- Make instrumentation and obturation "Precision-Based" and quality oriented
- Appreciate new hand file designs that compliment rotary techniques
- Experience "Rheostat-free" Endodontics
- Perform "Painless Endodontics" in your practice
*Attendees should bring multiple extracted teeth accessed and negotiated to length with a 10-k file.
